Unfettered access to guns has left no corner of America safe
TEXAS – Roland Gutierrez, candidate for the United States Senate, released a statement condemning Republicans for enabling violent gun rampages in Central Texas and Nevada.
“I refuse to accept last night’s rampage in Central Texas and the shooting at the University of Las Vegas as our new normal. It shouldn’t be difficult to take guns away from people who shouldn’t have them. It shouldn’t be this hard to keep our communities safe. We shouldn’t have to live like this. Loose Republican gun laws keep our communities in a state of terror and chaos. As long as guns are available like slurpees at the 7-Eleven, gun violence will continue to rise – and we should not allow this violence to continue, ” said State Senator Roland Gutierrez.
“Ted Cruz and Republicans in Congress refuse to be part of the solution. In the U.S. Senate, I am going to be laser-focused on ending the epidemic of gun violence in our country once and for all.”
