Gutierrez Continues Barnstorming Texas in February
For Immediate Release: February 15, 2024
TEXAS – Roland Gutierrez, candidate for the U.S. Senate and Uvalde State Senator, has campaigned 8,000 miles on the road in 2024, including more than 2,000 miles in February.
Roland started February in HOUSTON, meeting with Democratic voters and supporters ahead of early voting.

Gutierrez kicked off his West Texas tour in AMARILLO at a meet and greet, continuing to LUBBOCK to speak at the Lubbock County Democratic Party Banquet.

Roland dropped by ODESSA, ALPINE, and MARFA for meetings with local supporters before attending the Eastside Dems Candidate Forum in EL PASO, where the organization voted to endorse Gutierrez in the U.S. Senate Democratic primary.
“The neglect of Rural Texas led to the failures in Uvalde. Our state is broken, it is on fire, and the systems meant to protect us are failing because Republicans like Ted Cruz do not care one bit about us,” said Roland Gutierrez, contender for the United States Senate.
“We have politicians who are only making problems worse. Texas needs real solutions on immigration, the economy, and gun violence, instead of the chaos that Republicans have dropped on us.”

In WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Roland Gutierrez met with supporters at Fifth Element Brewing before a visit to BASTROP to meet with local Democratic party activists and a rally in AUSTIN co-hosted by Austin City Council Member José Velásquez, Austin City Council Member Vanessa Fuentes, and more Austin progressive leaders ahead of a candidate forum in GEORGETOWN and the Texas Democratic Womens’ Convention in AUSTIN.

Gutierrez’s next stops include PHARR, TYLER, KILLEEN, HOUSTON, and BAYTOWN.
