GUTIERREZ: FIGHT AGAINST TED CRUZ ISN’T OVER

Democrats Must Unite to Fight Against Ted Cruz and MAGA Republicans

For Immediate Release: March 6, 2024

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – Today, Roland Gutierrez, U.S. Senate candidate, surrounded by grassroots supporters and members of the Uvalde community, announced the end of his race for the United States Senate.

“The last 8 months, the last 2 years, have been an incredible journey because I got to meet these incredible people from Uvalde and all over this state. We’ve got a fight that’s still yet to be fought here in Texas. I don’t cry over elections here in Texas – but I do still cry for these children.

“This campaign is about the pain of these families who lost their children, and the pain of all Texans. This campaign is about Tammy in San Antonio, who lost her nephew, Zeb Smith, a volunteer firefighter, in the Texas wildfires. Kate Cox, who had to flee this state just to seek reproductive care. Retirees in Harlingen living off of $700 a month.

“I promise you that my fight against Ted Cruz and Donald Trump isn’t over. Because they don’t give one damn red cent about us – all they care about money and power.

“We are not defeated in this state, or in this country, and we are going to keep fighting against the fascist Republican agenda.”

Roland Gutierrez called Congressman Colin Allred to congratulate him on his nomination.
