WASHINGTON, D.C. – During a trip Tuesday to visit the Biden-Harris Administration, Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez sent a letter to the Department of Justice demanding an investigation into reports detailing the brutal, immoral abuse of immigrants at Texas’ southern border.
In the letter, troopers were allegedly under orders to refuse water to migrants and push pregnant women and children as young as four into the Rio Grande river.
“This is the same [Texas Department of Public Safety] that has failed to have any kind of real accountability in Uvalde,” Senator Roland Gutierrez stated in an interview with ABC News Live Prime, “We have to be able to have a real discussion with people in Texas and throughout this Country. Greg Abbott has done stunt after stunt, but this is a bridge too far that is leading to the deaths of children. It’s simply wrong.
