LATINO VICTORY ENDORSES GUTIERREZ

National Latino Organization, Elected Officials from Across the State, Students Groups, and LGBTQ+ Orgs Endorse Underdog Contender Gutierrez

For Immediate Release: January 31, 2024

TEXAS – Today, Latino Victory announced their endorsement of Roland Gutierrez for the U.S. Senate.

“Senator Gutierrez isn’t afraid to stand up to GOP extremists and their policies that hurt Latinos, immigrants, women, the LGBTQ+ community, and children,” said Latino Victory president and CEO Sindy Benavides in a statement. “He wasn’t afraid to stand up for Uvalde families, and he’s unapologetic about his support for gun violence prevention, women’s reproductive freedom, expanding health care access and policies that uplift working families.”

Latino Victory focuses on building political power by electing progressive latino candidates into every level of government, co-founded by Eva Longoria and Henry Munoz.

“I’m going to be the senator that will stand up and fight for Texans and fix all the real issues that affect us – restoring women’s reproductive rights, getting more money to working families, and fixing our broken immigration system,” said Uvalde State Senator Roland Gutierrez.

“I am proud to have earned the support of Latino Victory Fund. Democracy is on the line, and we need strong candidates to lead at the border right now, because the guys in Congress are failing us right now.”

Latino Victory joins a list of over 50 elected officials, progressive organizations, and community leaders in the state of Texas who are backing Senator Roland Gutierrez, including several announced earlier this week:
