NBC 5: GUTIERREZ CAMPAIGNS AGAINST A BROKEN SYSTEM

Dallas Morning News: “People in this state are tired of the same status quo politician telling you this nice word ‘bipartisanship.’ It’s not real.”

For Immediate Release: October 23, 2023

TEXAS – U.S. Senate candidate Roland Gutierrez sat down with NBC 5’s Phil Prazan and Dallas Morning News’ Gromer Jeffers for a conversation on his campaign against Ted Cruz, the fight for comprehensive immigration solutions, and his Democratic opponent’s support of former President Trump’s border wall.

“People have a choice to make, that choice begins in March… People in this state are tired of the same status quo,” said Roland Gutierrez. “We need to do real things to solve the real problems that are facing Texans today. Lack of opportunity, lack of health care, and fixing an immigration system.

NBC 5: Views on bipartisanship split candidates in race to take on Ted Cruz

In an interview with Lone Star Politics, the Border State Senator, differentiates his immigration and border policy from Ted Cruz and his primary opponent. “[Border walls] don’t work, it’s a waste of money. I’m gonna push for comprehensive immigration reform. This is my day job, I am an immigration lawyer. I know what we need to do. I represent 400 miles of the border and I know what those communities want. They want security and safety.”

Extended Interview with Roland Gutierrez: “I’m not here to take anyone’s guns away.”

“This is about progressive values, working class values, and it’s how we’re going to fix things at home. How we’re going to keep their kids safe,” Gutierrez said on Lone Star Politics. “And no amount of bipartisan incrementalism is gonna get us there. This county, this state is on fire.”
