SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS – This past week, Democratic Texas Senator Roland Gutierrez challenged Greg Abbott’s cruel and inhumane border policies. In one of the biggest stories of the past week, Gutierrez was among the first to call for a Department of Justice investigation into the immoral and illegal traps. Gutierrez also wrote a letter to Greg Abbott demanding the removal of the death buoys.

“At the end of the day, Texans need to wake up because these stunts of Greg Abbott are not border patrol. They are not immigration policy,” State Sen. Roland Gutierrez, D-San Antonio, told TPR.
“I want to know how many people die every week. I want a report on every injury that happens as a result of these kinds of actions that they’ve taken.”
